INDONESIA, balitourismnow.com – For the entire month of March and in honour of Ramdan, Expat. Roasters is collaborating with modern Indonesian restaurant, Rasanusa, bringing a curated Iftar menu to be enjoyed in select locations across Indonesia.
Cita Rasa Ramadan, the ala carte Iftar menu, is available every evening from 6pm from March 1 to 31, 2025, at Expat. Roasters Surabaya, Jakarta and Makassar featuring a curated menu of Indonesian flavours and modern culinary craftsmanship, making it the perfect way to break fast with family, friends, and colleagues.

Start your iftar journey with enticing appetizers:
- Krengsengan Croquette – Home-made potato croquette filled with tender beef, breaded and deep-fried to golden perfection. Served with krengsengan sauce, a flavorful mix of sweet, savory, and slightly spicy notes, and topped with a lime emulsion combining mayonnaise and lime for a delightful sweet-and-sour touch.
- Gulai Loaded Fries – Crispy shoestring fries generously topped with shredded chicken, creamy and savory gulai sauce, tangy pickled shallots, and crispy fried kaffir lime leaves with a sprinkle of spring onion.
- Agnolotti Kalio – Fresh egg pasta filled with shredded beef and chicken slow-cooked in kalio sauce. Served with the same rich, spiced, and slightly sweet kalio sauce, finished with crispy fried ube for a delightful crunch.

For the main course, guests can select from:
- Ayam Bumbu Rujak – Tender, juicy chicken thigh infused with bold rujak sauce, bringing a balance of sweet, savory, and spicy flavors. Served with hot rice, extra rujak sauce, and a wedge of lime. A perfect choice for those who enjoy a spicy kick.
- Sei Sapi – Inspired by the traditional NTT’s Sei Sapi, this dish features a brisket-style cut of premium Australian beef, slow-smoked for 12 hours using apple wood. Served with hot rice, Lu’at salsa—a fresh and fragrant sambal made with coriander leaves—and spiced kidney beans.
To end the meal on a sweet note:
- Kopyor Ice Cream – A delightful collaboration between Expat. Roasters and Rasanusa, featuring Expat. Roasters’s coconut gelato stick, complemented by coconut snow (shaved coconut cream), coconut sago pearls, and crispy meringue shards, all topped with a dusting of cinnamon powder. A perfect balance of sweet, creamy, and savory coconut flavors.
- Coffee Cake – A coffee lover’s dream, this dessert showcases multiple coffee textures on one plate, featuring a mocha cake topped with Expat. Roasters Coffee Gelato, coffee jelly, oat-based coffee crumbles, and a crispy mocha tuile. A decadent finale to the iftar.
