This two-day program celebrates 80 years of Indonesian independence through experiences that unite heritage, contemporary expression, and sustainability.
Held on August 16-17, 2025, at the Candi Ballroom, the festival features a vibrant creative market, art exhibitions and installations, masterclasses, and culinary performances – inviting guests to explore, taste, and interact with the archipelago’s best creators and ideas.
Powerful Indonesia Festival 2025 features a diverse range of engaging exhibitions and performances. Program highlights include Made Bayak’s talk show “Placticology,” in which Bayak shares his experience transforming plastic waste into impactful artwork and discusses the importance of sustainability.
Dwyma Adinatha, also known as Dwymabim, collaborated with Daur Tera to showcase eco-friendly installations and discuss the “Recycling Movement,” which promotes sustainable art practices.
The festival included demonstrations of recycling machines and recycled plastic design pieces, exemplifying the synergy between creativity and sustainability, advocating for a more environmentally friendly future.
Showcasing Indonesia’s rich and diverse culture, the Powerful Indonesia Festival 2025 featured an exciting lineup of performers, opening with a special ceremony featuring Kecak.
Kobagi, a community ensemble from Bali revitalizing the traditional Kecak dance with modern elements, and Ayu Laksmi, who presented a transcendent musical performance that blended Balinese and Indonesian traditions with ambient and world music.
The stage then continued with a dynamic DJ session by DJ Rika, DJ Richart Volx, DJ Alya, and DJ Pepe, who showcased their unique styles, ranging from vintage record culture to eclectic sets of classic rock, soul, and funk.
In addition, The Apurva Kempinski Bali features a variety of food stalls for guests to enjoy throughout the two-day event. Authentic Indonesian cuisine is showcased exclusively at the Powerful Indonesia Festival 2025, created by the resort’s talented chefs.
The menu is diverse, ranging from Apurva’s Nasi Campur (Mixed Rice) to Fried Tampah Pasar Malam (Night Market Fried Rice), complemented by refreshing Es Campur (Mixed Ice), bite-sized Kue Cubit (Cupcake), and much more.
The Powerful Indonesia Festival 2025’s Creative Market celebrates Indonesia’s handicrafts and creative economy, rooted in community impact. The market showcases design-driven products, craft excellence, and circular innovation, reflecting Indonesia’s vibrant creative sector and the resort’s commitment to sustainability.
Over the two days, guests participate in hands-on masterclasses, meet exhibitors, and experience installations that transform recycled materials into functional works of art.
Participating brands included Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) supported by Bank Central Asia (BCA) and artisans from the resort’s Asha Curated Boutique & Gallery, which featured renowned brands such as HANDEP, Pithecanthropus Bali, Tenun Setia Cap Cili, I Wayan Puspa, Tarum Bali, Uluwatu Lace, and many more.
As part of the Indonesia Berdaya 2025 Festival, The Apurva Kempinski Bali held a special ceremony to honor Indonesian veterans, recognizing their courage, sacrifice, and dedication to the nation.
This tribute was given to these distinguished individuals, who have shaped the nation’s history through their service. A special poem, composed from the veterans’ memories, was recited to highlight their struggles and heroism.
