DENPASAR, balitourismnow.com – Antida Soundgarden successfully held The Pianist, a two-night music program bringing together leading musicians and emerging young Balinese talents.

The event took place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, and Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Antida Soundgarden, Jl. Waribang No. 32, Kesiman, East Denpasar.

Each performance began at 7:00 PM WITA with free online reservations. Seats were limited to 50 indoors, offering an intimate concert experience for the audience.

The opening night (September 20) featured performances by Erde Pradana (solo), Mick Baumeister (solo), Bebe Alamsyah (solo), the Dodot Soemantri Atmodjo Trio featuring Emilian Charles Lalung, and closed with the Widi Noor Trio.

This eclectic lineup of musicians blended classical influences, jazz improvisation, and experimental soundscapes, creating a warm yet surprising atmosphere.

The second night (September 21st) was equally intense, featuring collaborations by Nita Aartsen & Amenangi Waworuntu, Koko Harsoe & Nara, and the SAN Trio.

Their repertoire was a celebration of piano virtuosity and inter-instrumental dialogue, with each musician’s unique character shining through, captivating the audience until the very end.

“I want Antida Soundgarden to be a place that nurtures and energizes young musicians and artists,” said Anom Darsana, owner of Antida Soundgarden, during the event.

The idea for The Pianist emerged from a casual conversation at Antida Soundgarden between Anom Darsana and Dodot Soemantri Atmodjo. Dodot, who also runs a piano rental business, has long recognized the wealth of young pianist talent in Bali.

That encounter sparked the idea for a dedicated piano exhibition—a new space for musicians to experiment, showcase fresh works, and expand their artistic horizons.

“We deliberately created this event to provide them with world-class performance opportunities. With The Pianist, I’m confident we’ll see a new generation of performers and creators emerge. Let’s collaborate,” Anom Darsana encouraged.

The program is scheduled to return every two months, with each performance recorded and distributed online.

Thus, The Pianist extends beyond the live stage, offering an ongoing platform to introduce Balinese musicians to a wider audience.

The resounding success of its debut established The Pianist as a platform for music, harmony, and intimacy.

Antida Soundgarden continues its mission as a safe, inclusive, and collaborative creative home, consistently hosting music, theater, workshops, poetry readings, film screenings, and other artistic activities throughout the year. [pran]
