MANGUPURA, balitourismnow.com – When are you heading to Canggu? This holiday season, Lulu Bistrot brings the vibrant French spirit to the celebrations with three special menus that evoke the Parisian holiday spirit and showcase the restaurant’s warm, contemporary, and relaxed character.
On Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve, friends and family are invited to gather to enjoy delicious, beautifully presented food in a festive atmosphere that never gets too formal.
“Lulu Bistrot celebrates the holiday season with tempting set menus, heartfelt service, and a festive atmosphere in the heart of Canggu, Bali,” said Lulu Bistrot founder Rafael Nardo on Friday, December 19, 2025.
This is a holiday experience shaped by tradition, enjoyed Lulu-style, with good company, delicious food, and a sense of comfort that keeps the event lively from the first glass to the last toast.
Lulu’s Christmas Dinner draws inspiration from the flavors that fill Parisian homes at this time of year, reimagined for the tropics.
The menu includes Fish Crudo, raw bluefin tuna and salmon with oyster and caper emulsion; Entrecôte, roasted rib of beef served with classic Sauce Bordelaise; and Poulet Ballotine, stuffed roast chicken combined with artichokes and Sauce Périgueux.
Dessert stays true to tradition with a caramelized fruit apple tart enriched with homemade tonka bean ice cream, and a chocolate mousse with chocolate hazelnut, cherry compote, and raspberry. Don’t miss it, the experience starts at 5:00 PM.
With the relaxed charm of a long, unhurried French lunch, Christmas Day lunch begins at 12:00 PM at Lulu. Appetizers include a charcuterie plate of cured meats and herbs, and Wagyu beef tartare with potato allumettes and black truffle.
Guests can then choose from Market Fish served à la Meunière with delicate herbs; Shrimp Risotto with grilled wild shrimp, Creole spices, and nduja butter (nduja is a soft, spreadable Calabrian pork salumi, renowned for its deep, spicy and smoky flavor), or the elegant Poulet Ballotine.
Dessert reflects Christmas Eve, offering Apple Tart and Chocolate Mousse. “At Lulu, we celebrate that spirit by serving thoughtful yet accessible dishes, in an atmosphere where guests can relax, savor the moment, and simply enjoy each other’s company,” adds Rafael Nardo.
Lus Bistrot then welcomes the new year with a festive Réveillon dinner, a favorite French excuse to enjoy a long, late-night feast that continues until midnight.
The evening features festive favorites from the Christmas menu, including a layered potato terrine with jamon and Comté emulsion, and an Oeuf Mayonnaise prepared with soft-boiled eggs, Dijon mayonnaise, and a hint of caviar.
The main course includes Grilled Fish, featuring Canadian cod fillets tossed in a Champagne and spinach sauce.
The highlight of the evening is Lulu’s favorite Tiramisu, which combines chocolate hazelnut, mascarpone, and coffee liqueur. The Réveillon dinner begins at 6:00 PM, making for an unforgettable experience.
Guests can make each of the three occasions even more special with festive sharing plates that bring a bit of Parisian joy.
Warm Madeleines au Caviar with crème fraîche offers a delightful touch of luxury; Half a Dozen Oysters with mignonette evokes a lively brasserie atmosphere; and Assiette de Fromage showcases an irresistible array of French cheeses.
These dishes are accompanied by festive favorites like Pâté de Foie Gras with toast, and Smoked Salmon with crème fraîche, leeks, and brioche.
Finally, for a toast that truly caps off the evening, guests can add a bottle of Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial to any menu.
For Rafael Nardo, this festive season captures the essence of what Lulu does best. “French holiday dishes are festive, plentiful, and full of togetherness. They bring people together without being overly formal,” he said.
Rafael Nardo emphasized that this year, Lulu Bistrot invites guests to celebrate Christmas and New Year with the flavors, warmth, and hospitality of a Parisian holiday, seasoned with the delightful sophistication that has made Lulu a favorite French restaurant in Bali.
