Where Uluwatu Celebrates: Festive French-Italian Dining at Bartolo

MANGUPURA, balitourismnow.com – Bartolo, Uluwatu’s favorite restaurant, celebrates Christmas and New Year with comforting flavors, warm surroundings, and European charm.

This festive season, Bartolo invites guests to celebrate the holidays as they should be celebrated: around a table with good friends, delicious food, and the relaxed, neighborhood atmosphere that has made this Uluwatu bistro a favorite in Bali.

Known for its European street-corner charm, refined cuisine, and captivating drinks, Bartolo brings the same energy on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve, with set menus built around simple pleasures and genuine hospitality.

This year includes a special Christmas Lunch on December 25th starting at 12 noon, a special festive addition to Bartolo’s regular dinner service. Christmas Eve Dinner on December 24th starting at 5:00 PM and Christmas Day Lunch feature the same mouth-watering menu.

Appetizers combine favorites and bold European flavors: Bread with Bottarga Butter, a savory, umami-rich spread made from cured fish roe; Rosette de Lyon, a traditional dry-cured pork sausage.

There’s Chicken Liver Pâté with cranberries and herbs; Polenta Croquettes with Parmesan and jamon serrano aioli; and the incredibly savory Gilda filled with octopus, Manchego, sun-dried tomatoes, and olives.

For the main course, guests can choose from Roast Chicken with king oyster mushrooms and truffles, Grilled Salmon with champagne beurre blanc sauce and fish roe, or the classic holiday favorite, Beef Wellington with jus.

Dessert is Bartolo’s signature Tiramisu—a strong contender for the best tiramisu on the island.

New Year’s Eve Dinner on December 31st begins at 5:00 PM with a selection of exquisite appetizers, ranging from Mediterranean Seafood Salad to the delicious classic Steak Tartare.

For the main course, guests can choose between grilled salmon with champagne beurre blanc sauce and cod roe or entrecôte, a roasted rib of beef served with Bordelaise sauce and truffle slices.

The evening ends as it should: with Bartolo’s famous tiramisu. It’s a complete experience with plenty of stories to tell.

For founder Rafael Nardo, a holiday at Bartolo embodies the core of the bistro’s philosophy: generous portions, exceptional food, and an atmosphere where guests feel truly cared for from the moment they arrive.

“Our celebrations are built around the most important things: good taste, good wine, and the people you share it with,” says Nardo.

“Whether it’s Christmas lunch with family or New Year’s Eve dinner with friends, we want our guests to feel like they belong,” Nardo continues.

This season, Bartolo keeps it simple: delicious food enjoyed with loved ones and the distinctive European atmosphere that has become the restaurant’s hallmark. These are festive tables made for sharing, chatting, laughing and relaxing to celebrate. [oko]
