MANGUPURA, balitourismnow.com – The Indonesian Hotel General Manager Association (IHGMA) successfully convened its 5th National Summit (Rakernas V) from April 16–18, 2026, at Merumatta Senggigi, West Nusa Tenggara.
Carrying the theme “A Decade Advancing Indonesian Hospitality,” the event marked a significant milestone in strengthening the role of Indonesia’s hospitality sector amid evolving global challenges.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Governor of West Nusa Tenggara, Ms. Indah Damayanti Putri, who expressed her appreciation for the trust placed in the region as host of this prestigious national gathering.
In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of strong collaboration between the hospitality industry and government stakeholders in driving sustainable tourism growth.
More than an annual forum, the IHGMA National Working Meeting serves as a strategic platform to define organizational direction, foster collaboration, and reinforce IHGMA’s position as a key partner to tourism stakeholders.
This aligns with the association’s commitment to supporting national economic resilience through a competitive and adaptive hospitality industry.
At this year’s event, the IHGMA Bali Chapter stood out with a delegation of 31 members, the largest regional representation, demonstrating its strong commitment to active participation and leadership within the organization.
A highlight of Rakernas V was the recognition of outstanding regional chapters across Indonesia, based on key performance indicators including financial management, membership growth, and the execution of regional work programs.
In an exceptional achievement, the IHGMA Bali Chapter swept all award categories, securing:
1. Best Financial Performance Award, recognizing excellence in financial governance and value creation.
2. Largest Membership Award, with a total of 265 registered members in 2025
3. Best Regional Program Report 2025, reflecting impactful and well-executed initiatives
This remarkable accomplishment marks a consecutive win for the Bali Chapter, further underscoring its consistency in delivering high organizational performance and leadership excellence.
Mr. Komang Artana, Chairman of IHGMA Bali Chapter for the 2023–2025 term, attributed this success to strong teamwork and organizational synergy.
“This achievement is not the result of individual effort, but a reflection of the solid collaboration and shared commitment among our board and members. This unity has become the foundation of our professional, high-performing, and integrity-driven organization,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the newly elected Chairman, Mr. Bagus Ngurah, expressed his appreciation and optimism for the future.
“We extend our highest gratitude to all board members and stakeholders for their dedication and meaningful contributions. This achievement proves that through collective spirit and collaboration, we can elevate the organization to greater heights and create a broader impact for the industry,” he said.
Following the conclusion of Rakernas V, the IHGMA Bali Chapter is set to formalize its new leadership team and begin implementing its newly established strategic programs.
These initiatives are expected to further strengthen the role of IHGMA Bali in advancing human capital development and enhancing the overall quality of Indonesia’s hospitality industry. [kha]
