MANGUPURA, balitourismnow.com – The expanse of blue sea stretches beautifully into the distance from above, while the bustle of activity along the coast brings the scene to life. A gentle sea breeze mingles with the strumming of a guitar as the sun slowly sinks toward the horizon.
The afternoon takes on a special charm—casual conversations around a table, leaning against the rooftop railing, sipping a drink, and sharing stories with friends.
This was the atmosphere at the official opening of Heven & Sin, two new rooftop concepts at ZIN Canggu Resort & Villas in Canggu, Kuta, Badung, Bali, on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
Perched on the rooftop of ZIN Canggu, Heven & Sin offer two distinct yet complementary experiences that unfold from morning to night. Heven welcomes guests in the morning with its breakfast offerings, while Sin comes alive in the afternoon and evening with sunset views, cocktails, dining, music, and a vibrant social atmosphere.
The launch was designed as a relaxed and intimate celebration. More than a formal business event, it brought together social interaction and entertainment, with DJ sets, live music, special performances, culinary offerings, and a sunset session that became one of the highlights of the day.
“Heven presents a breakfast experience set against a rooftop backdrop with views of Bali, while Sin offers an afternoon-to-evening experience featuring sunsets, cocktails, dining, music, and a social atmosphere,” said I Dewa Gede Boyke Sanjaya, General Manager of ZIN Canggu Resort & Villas, accompanied by Restaurant and Bar Manager I Putu Laksana, during the opening event.

The arrival of Heven & Sin expands the range of experiences available at ZIN Canggu. Guests can now enjoy the rooftop throughout the day, from breakfast and midday relaxation to sunset views and the lively atmosphere of the evening in Canggu.
“The addition of Heven & Sin is part of ZIN Canggu’s development to provide experiences that can be enjoyed not only by staying guests but also by the general public,” Boyke said.
One of the main attractions of Heven & Sin is their elevated setting and panoramic views. Sin operates as an open-air bar with a relaxed atmosphere, while Heven offers a more refined dining experience featuring chef-crafted dishes inspired by local ingredients and flavors.
“We are focusing on the domestic market alongside the international market. That is why we are developing food concepts that blend in traditional elements,” Boyke added.
Several dishes showcase Balinese and Indonesian culinary influences. One example is a tuna dish incorporating trengginan, a local ingredient that adds a distinct Balinese touch. Indonesian favorites such as rendang are also featured on the menu.
“It features Balinese cuisine and other Indonesian dishes, such as rendang. The cocktails, meanwhile, are classics. Sin is more casual, whereas Heven offers a more formal setting,” explained Putu Laksana.
The distinct personalities of the two venues allow guests to choose an experience that suits their mood. Sin is an ideal place to unwind in the late afternoon while waiting for sunset, while Heven provides a more refined setting for dinner.
“If you visit Sin Bar, the best time to come is between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. That is the best time for the sunset; afterwards, you can head straight to Heven for dinner between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM,” Putu Laksana explained.
The experience is further enhanced by live music, DJ performances, and other forms of entertainment. The rooftop venues are also available throughout the day, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Beyond dining and entertainment, Heven & Sin are designed as versatile spaces for a variety of occasions, from birthdays and weddings to wellness sessions. The concept is complemented by sauna and Jacuzzi facilities that are open to the public, allowing non-hotel guests to enjoy ZIN Canggu’s facilities and experiences as well.
“Outside guests can gain access via our app. We have designed this space to be versatile enough for sunset events, dinners, and wellness activities. In the morning, guests use it as a meditation space; the sounds of the waves and the wind act like music, helping them focus better,” said Boyke.
Embracing the concept of “The Best of Bali from Sunrise to Sunset,” Heven & Sin are designed to offer a complete Bali experience that evolves throughout the day.
Heven provides a relaxed rooftop setting for breakfast and morning moments, while Sin takes over from the late afternoon into the evening with sunset views, cocktails, dining, music, and social experiences.
“Both concepts are part of the ZIN ecosystem, which encompasses hospitality, dining, wellness, fitness, retail, events, and various community activities,” Boyke emphasized. [buda]
