JAKARTA, batourismnow.com — For travellers looking to experience more of Singapore in one destination, Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) is a 49-hectare integrated resort on Sentosa Island, bringing together world-class attractions, luxury hotels, dining, entertainment and lifestyle experiences.
First announced in 2019, RWS 2.0 marks the next chapter in the resort’s evolution, introducing a new generation of experiences designed to encourage travellers to stay longer and discover more. The transformation includes Minion Land at Universal Studios Singapore, Singapore Oceanarium, WEAVE, a new lifestyle destination, and The Laurus, a Luxury Collection Resort.
Together, these additions further establish RWS as a multi-day destination, offering attractions, hospitality, dining, entertainment and lifestyle experiences within a single integrated resort.
Beyond the Attractions: Discover a New Side of RWS
At Universal Studios Singapore, Illumination’s Minion Land opened in February 2025, featuring Minion Marketplace, Gru’s Neighborhood and Super Silly Fun Land, with themed attractions, entertainment, dining and merchandise inspired by the Despicable Me and Minions franchises.
Meanwhile, Singapore Oceanarium marks a new chapter in RWS’ marine offering. Three times the size of its predecessor, it combines live habitats, ocean stories, digital innovation and interactive technology to take visitors on an immersive journey through marine life, from Singapore’s coastal ecosystems to the largely unexplored deep ocean. Its Research and Learning Centre also supports research, conservation and community outreach.
Another key addition is WEAVE, a design-forward lifestyle destination spanning more than 20,000 square metres across three interconnected levels. Bringing together retail, dining, nature and art, WEAVE features a mix of first-to-market and distinctive concepts, including Pierre Hermé Paris, Moutarde by Michelin-starred Chef Paul Pairet, Sundae Royale, Dopamine Land, Din Tai Fung’s first cocktail bar concept in Asia, Standard Bread’s first international outpost, COACH Coffee Shop, People People Brewing Co, POP BAKERY by POP MART, WeWa, and Starbucks’ first Bearista-inspired store in Southeast Asia.
Its tropical island-city character is reflected in curated greenery, open-air walkways, outdoor refreshment zones and asymmetrical shopfronts, creating a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Stay Longer, Experience More
RWS’ accommodation offering gives visitors more options to make the resort their base for a longer Singapore getaway. The portfolio includes Crockfords Tower, Equarius Hotel, Equarius Villas, Hotel Michael, Hotel Ora and the newest addition, The Laurus, a Luxury Collection Resort.
Opened in October 2025, The Laurus is Singapore’s first Luxury Collection property, offering 183 all-suite accommodations. Designed by award-winning firm P49 Deesign, the resort draws inspiration from Singapore’s colonial heritage, tropical landscapes and biodiversity. Facilities include Laurus Table, a specialty restaurant featuring sustainable, regionally inspired dishes, as well as a spa, fitness centre, landscaped pool and biodiverse sensory garden.
“We believe the best travel experiences are those that bring people together and give every traveller something to look forward to. As we continue to welcome travellers from Indonesia and across the region, we are evolving RWS to offer more experiences for families, friends and travellers of all generations. From exciting new discoveries and immersive attractions to exceptional hospitality, dining and entertainment; we want every guest to experience new reasons to explore, connect and create lasting memories at RWS,” said Chen Si, Chief Operating Officer, RWS.
More Reasons to Visit, All Year Round
Beyond its year-round attractions, RWS continues to introduce seasonal experiences. From 1 September to 1 November 2026, Festival of Thrills will bring together immersive entertainment, Halloween experiences, family-friendly activities, lifestyle experiences and dining across the resort.
Highlights include Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights 14, Into the Glowcean at Singapore Oceanarium, featuring the oceanarium’s first-ever Silent Disco, and motorsport-themed experiences at WEAVE.
Sustainability also remains integral to RWS’ development, with responsible practices embedded across its operations as it works towards becoming a carbon-neutral destination by 2030.
Indonesia, one of RWS’ top three priority source markets, remains an important market for the resort. With RWS 2.0 bringing attractions, hospitality, lifestyle, dining and entertainment together, Indonesian travellers have more ways to experience Singapore in a single getaway — whether travelling with family, friends or across generations.[oko]
