UBUD, balitourismnow.com — Indonesian singer and actress Shanty Paredes will headline the 10th anniversary celebration of Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali, with a special gala dinner on Saturday, 10 October 2026.
Shanty will perform with a full band made up entirely of Balinese musicians, a choice that reflects her personal connection to Bali and her desire to collaborate with local talents.
“For this performance, I specifically looked for musicians from Bali,” Shanty said during a press conference at Sthala Ubud on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.
She has prepared a special set for the evening, with six songs initially planned and the possibility of extending the performance to 10 songs.
“I’m preparing an all-out performance. We have six songs prepared, and it could grow to 10 songs,” said Shanty, who was accompanied by Lasta Arimbawa, Multi-property General Manager of Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali, and Putu Arneta Arma Putri (Eta), Miss Digital Marketing & Communications Executive.
For Shanty, performing in Bali is also a personal expression of her long-standing affection for the island.
“Bali is a calling for me. I used to come to Bali every weekend. People say Bali has traffic, but everywhere has traffic. I went everywhere by motorbike,” said Shanty, who is now based in Kerobokan.
A Decade of Heritage, Hospitality & Heart
Lasta Arimbawa said Sthala is delighted to have Shanty as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations, which carry the theme “10 Years of Heritage, Hospitality & Heart.”
The anniversary programme runs throughout September and October 2026, celebrating Balinese heritage, the people behind Sthala’s hospitality, its local community, and the memories shared with guests over the past decade.
“Ten years is more than a marker of time. For Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali, this milestone is an opportunity to celebrate Balinese heritage, the people who have been part of our hospitality journey, and the relationships we have built with our guests and the surrounding community,” said Lasta.
The anniversary programme includes culinary experiences, local art, community initiatives, and guest activities, all set against Sthala’s riverside location along the Wos River in Ubud.
“Reaching our 10-year milestone at Sthala is a deeply meaningful moment for all of us. The theme ‘10 Years of Heritage, Hospitality & Heart’ is a tribute to our dedicated team, our vibrant local community, and the guests who have shared their journey with us along the Wos River,” Lasta added.
Celebrating Bali Through Food and Art
One of the anniversary highlights is Bali Culinary Heritage, a 10-day dining programme running from 30 September to 9 October 2026. Each day showcases a traditional dish and culinary story from a different part of Bali, including Klungkung, Karangasem, Buleleng, Gianyar, Bangli, Jembrana, Tabanan, Badung, Denpasar, and Sthala Ubud.
Another culinary experience, The Story of Sthala, is a 10-course tasting menu served at Sungai Restaurant from 25 September to 25 October 2026.
Each course represents a chapter in Sthala’s story, with themes including Canang, Wos, Jungle, Ubud, Pertiwi, Agni, Sthala, Sawah, Sukha, and Kenangan. Local ingredients and Balinese flavours are presented through a contemporary culinary approach, concluding with Kenangan, a final course inspired by familiar Balinese aromas and flavours.
The anniversary also celebrates Ubud’s artistic community through Ten Ubud Local Artists, featuring works by 10 local artists in an exhibition at the hotel’s Mezzanine, Level 6.
The initiative combines art with a social cause. Guests can purchase the exhibited works, with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to support children’s education in the local community.
Looking Ahead Through a Time Capsule
The anniversary celebration also extends to digital audiences through a Daily Social Media Giveaway, offering daily prizes ranging from Afternoon Tea and BBQ Dinner experiences to the grand prize of a one-night stay at Sthala Ubud Bali.
Sthala is also creating a time capsule to mark the beginning of its next five-year journey. Guests and associates are invited to write their hopes and wishes for Sthala’s future. The messages will be collected and ceremonially sealed during the anniversary gala.
The initiative is intended to preserve the hopes and aspirations of the people connected to Sthala as the hotel enters its next chapter.
“A Decade of Memories” with Shanty
The anniversary celebration will culminate in “A Decade of Memories: An Unforgettable Evening with Shanty” at Wantilan Rooftop, Level 8, beginning at 6:00 PM on 10 October.
Set against views of the lush jungle and the Wos River, the gala dinner will combine a premium BBQ buffet, free-flow alcoholic beverages, Balinese dance, live music, and Shanty’s special performance with her all-Balinese full band.
Guests will also have the opportunity to experience the Ten Ubud Local Artists exhibition, participate in prize activities, and join the time capsule ceremony. Other highlights include a chance to win a one-night stay at Sthala Ubud Bali and a special 10th anniversary gift for paying guests.
Through “10 Years of Heritage, Hospitality & Heart,” Sthala Ubud celebrates a decade shaped by Balinese culture, culinary traditions, art, community, its dedicated associates, and the many guests who have created lasting memories along the Wos River—while looking ahead to the next five years.
