KUTA, balitourismnow.com — Bobby’s Burgers, the premium burger brand currently trending in Jakarta and Malaysia, has officially arrived in Bali with a pop-up store at Beachwalk Shopping Center, Kuta. The opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony witnessed by enthusiastic fans and shoppers on Friday (October 23, 2026).
Food enthusiasts can savor Bobby’s Burgers’ signature offerings through November 8, 2026, operating daily during mall hours from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM WITA.
Founded by content creator Ben Sumadiwiria (popularly known as Boby Saputra), the brand serves as the main highlight of the Burger & Friends Festival, an event featuring diverse culinary options and entertainment for local residents, domestic tourists, and international visitors.
General Manager of Beachwalk Shopping Center, Gita Sunarwulan, stated that the festival aims to boost tourism back to the Kuta area while offering a fresh culinary experience.
“We selected Bobby’s Burgers as the main attraction due to its surging popularity in Jakarta and Malaysia. The brand is currently viral, and we want to introduce new culinary concepts previously unavailable in Bali to give visitors even more reasons to visit Beachwalk,” said Gita.
Signature Beef Fat Cooking and Smash Burgers
More than just conventional fast food, Bobby’s Burgers takes a distinctive approach to ingredient preparation. Ben Sumadiwiria shared that a key highlight of their menu is the use of beef fat instead of seed oils during cooking, including for their French fries.
“This concept is a core part of the culinary identity we present at Bobby’s Burgers. Our fries are cooked in beef fat, and our signature menu item is the smash burger—where the patty is pressed on a hot griddle to create a crispy caramelized crust while keeping the inside juicy,” Ben explained.
The minimalist menu design allows guests to enjoy classic burger and fries pairings without feeling overwhelmed by choice. This two-week pop-up presence also serves as a market test for potential long-term expansion.
“We are currently operating as a pop-up for two weeks. If all goes well, we hope to secure a permanent location here,” Ben added.
Highlights of the Burger & Friends Festival
In addition to Bobby’s Burgers, Gita Sunarwulan noted that the Burger & Friends Festival hosts around eight culinary booths alongside entertainment offerings from Timezone, making it a family- and youth-friendly destination.
Beachwalk is also offering special perks through its Corners Club membership program, where members can claim a free burger with a minimum transaction of IDR 200,000. Additionally, special promotions are available for BCA cardholders spending a minimum of IDR 500,000 (terms and conditions apply).
