This unique atmosphere comes to life through “Beyond The Boundaries Art Exhibition,” a collaborative initiative between éL Hotel & Resort Bali Sanur and Nine Art Gallery.
The exhibition showcases works by emerging Indonesian artists from various regions across the country, reflecting a shared commitment to supporting the development of Indonesia’s art scene and nurturing creative talent.
Featuring more than 50 paintings, the exhibition was officially opened on Saturday, November 7, 2026, by Nanang Mardiono, General Manager of éL Hotel & Resort Bali Sanur, together with one of the participating artists. The opening ceremony was marked by a symbolic ribbon-cutting.
In his remarks, Nanang Mardiono emphasized that the exhibition is more than simply a platform for displaying artworks. It also serves as a space for appreciation and an opportunity for artists, both established professionals and emerging talents, to introduce their creativity to a wider audience.
“This collaboration is one of our ways of supporting the development of Indonesian art and the creativity of local artists by providing a space where they can showcase their work,” Nanang said.
Running for three months until February 2027, the exhibition is also part of éL Hotel & Resort Bali Sanur’s ongoing effort to bring Indonesian visual arts closer to the public.
Through a dedicated Art Spot within the hotel premises, visitors can enjoy artistic creations in a relaxed and welcoming environment. The initiative is particularly aimed at reaching both domestic and international travelers visiting the Sanur area.
Nanang added that the art space also provides an opportunity to introduce the richness of Indonesian visual arts to an international audience.
“We are also proud to introduce the beauty of Indonesian artworks and the distinctive artistic expressions of our artists to the international community, particularly visitors traveling to Sanur. We hope this collaboration will continue to grow and serve as a bridge connecting art, culture, and hospitality,” he added.
The exhibition opening was enlivened by a series of artistic performances. Contemporary dance presentations were complemented by live music and vocal performances, creating an experience that engaged not only the eyes but also the senses through movement and sound. Artists, influencers, media representatives, and distinguished guests from various backgrounds attended the event.
The celebration of art continued beyond the visual exhibition with a media dinner gathering at Ashvattha Restaurant, one of éL Hotel & Resort Bali Sanur’s signature dining venues. The gathering offered another dimension to the evening, bringing together art, culture, and gastronomy in one memorable experience.
Blending Asian and Western culinary influences, Executive Chef Sadar Bonar presented a specially curated selection of dishes to complement the evening’s atmosphere.
The culinary journey began with Pumpkin Lemonidas Cappuccino Soup, followed by Surf & Turf, a combination of beef tenderloin and prawns enhanced with a delicate wine reduction. The dining experience concluded on a sweet note with Torch Cheesecake, offering a smooth texture and delightful sweetness.
Balinese cultural traditions also enriched the evening through a welcoming performance of the Pendet Dance. More than just an artistic presentation, this traditional dance symbolizes the warmth and hospitality of the Balinese people while introducing guests to the island’s rich cultural heritage.
