GIANYAR, balitourismnow.com – The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali will host a captivating Earth Hour celebration, uniting art, culture, and sustainability in a meaningful tribute to the planet.
“The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali will celebrate Earth Hour on March 22, 2025,” said Marketing Communication Manager of Westin Resort & SPA Ubud, Nadya Chendana, Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Located just moments away from Ubud’s iconic attractions, including Monkey Forest, Ubud Royal Palace, Tegalalang Rice Terraces, Bali Zoo, and Bali Safari & Marine Park, the resort invites guests to participate in this global movement with a unique and immersive experience.
This year’s Earth Hour event will feature a special collaboration with Kerta Art Sanggar Tari, a renowned Balinese traditional dance group, and local Balinese body painters.
The highlight of the evening will be a mesmerizing glow in the dark performance inspired by the theme “Tat Twam Asi”, a Sanskrit phrase meaning “You are me”.
As the lights switch off from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, the dancers, whose bodies will be intricately painted with elements representing earth, water, fire, and wood will come to life under the glow of artistic illumination.
“This performance serves as a powerful reminder of humanity’s deep connection with nature, reinforcing the message that when we care for the Earth, it, in turn, nurtures us,” said Nadya, as she is familiarly called.
More than just switching off the electricity for an hour, The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud Bali aims to awaken the soul through art and inspire collective action for a more sustainable future.
Through this immersive celebration, the resort invites guests to reflect on their environmental impact and take part in protecting our planet.
“Join us at The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud Bali for this unforgettable Earth Hour experience where when the lights go off, art glows, and the spirit of sustainability shines brighter than ever,” said Nadya Chendana. [dya]
