TABANAN, balitourismnow.com – Consulate General of India and the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Bali organized a Curtain Raiser event for the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025 at the iconic Taman Bung Karno in Tabanan on 31 May 2025.
This event marked the 32nd out of 50 Yoga events being organized by CGI and SVCC Bali in the lead-up to IDY 2025. The event witnessed over 500 enthusiastic participants, including members of yoga communities, academicians, and students, who joined hands to celebrate and promote the message of Yoga as a powerful tool for personal and collective well-being.
Addressing the gathering, Consul General Dr. Shashank Vikram expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the large turnout and the community’s strong spirit, which played a key role in making the event a grand success.
Held under the global theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” the Yoga session was conducted by Mr. Naveen Meghwal, Director of SVCC Bali.
The session emphasized the profound benefits of Yoga in nurturing the four dimensions of wellness—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, reinforcing Yoga’s relevance in today’s global health landscape.
The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony, where awards were presented to distinguished leaders of various Yoga communities for their exceptional contributions in promoting Yoga and its holistic benefits throughout society.
As part of the continuing celebrations of IDY 2025, CGI Bali will be organizing upcoming Yoga programs at several iconic places across Bali, bringing together people from all walks of life to experience the transformative power of Yoga in culturally and spiritually rich settings.
