• Medina: As the Kingdom’s most visited tourist destination, Medina blends deep spirituality with culture and history. Outside the Prophet’s Mosque, tourists can stroll or ride Careem electric bikes along the fully integrated Quba Pedestrian Path, a 3-kilometer path connecting the two mosques, filled with a variety of cultural, commercial, social, and sporting activities.

This is complemented by the Al Sirah Exhibition and the As Safiyyah Museum and Gardens, which offer a deep insight into Islamic heritage as well as spaces for relaxation. For those looking to explore further, the historic Ghars Well is a must-see. Adding to its appeal, Medina now also offers unique wedding experiences, allowing couples to celebrate special moments in this spiritual setting.

With its sacred heritage, new experiences, and warm hospitality for Umrah pilgrims, Medina has emerged as both a spiritual and recreational hub, encouraging longer and repeat visits.

• Al Baha: A cultural and natural gem, Al Baha is the birthplace of Abdulrahman Al-Dawsi Abu Hurairah, the narrator of over 5,000 hadiths. Visitors can explore the historic Elephant Trail, once a major trade route mentioned in the Quran, or explore the marble village of Dhee Ayn, the Shada Mountains, and the lush Raghdan Forest Park.

With its cool highlands at 2,500 meters, waterfalls, caves, and family-friendly parks, Al Baha offers a one- or two-day extension that enriches any Umrah trip, blending heritage with nature.

• Aseer: In southwest Saudi Arabia, Aseer captivates with its golden beaches, desert plains, and rugged peaks. Its colorful villages, bustling markets, and rich cuisine reflect its distinctive culture, while its scenic paths and cooler weather make it a year-round escape.

Spring brings a vibrant “Purple Season” with the blooming of Jacaranda flowers, transforming Aseer into a lush natural landscape and one of the Kingdom’s most alluring destinations.

• KAEC (King Abdullah Economic City): Located on the Red Sea coast between Mecca and Medina, KAEC is a modern seaside city designed for both business and leisure. Travelers can enjoy pristine beaches, golf courses, luxury resorts, and a growing calendar of cultural and sporting events.

With direct access via the Haramain High Speed Railway, KAEC is emerging as a dynamic stopover for Umrah pilgrims and a lifestyle destination in its own right.

This hidden gem showcases the richness of Saudi Arabia’s experiences, from cultural heritage to stunning natural landscapes, strengthening its position as a year-round tourist destination.

Several of Saudi’s leading luxury hotels participated in the roadshow for the first time, including Our Habitas AlUla and Shaden Resort, two of AlUla’s most iconic hospitality brands. Their participation gave travel partners valuable insights into AlUla’s evolution from a niche, add-on destination to one of the most sought-after Umrah+ extensions.

Both properties reflect AlUla’s vision of blending luxury hospitality with sustainability, heritage, and authentic Arabian experiences, positioning the destination as a compelling choice for Indonesian travellers seeking journeys that combine spirituality, culture, and discovery.

For Indonesian travellers, visiting Saudi is now more accessible. Holders of a valid UK, US, or Schengen visa, complete with an entry stamp from the issuing country, can apply for a e-visa or Visa on Arrival when travelling to Saudi.

For those visiting for Umrah, it’s also possible to explore beyond the holy cities, extending the trip to experience the country’s natural beauty. From the serenity of the Red Sea to its vast desert landscapes, Saudi offers opportunities for reflection and relaxation before returning home to Indonesia. [oko]
