DENPASAR, balitourismnow.com – Prama Sanur Beach Bali marked its 52nd anniversary by organizing an environmental conservation initiative, releasing 52 baby sea turtles (hatchlings) and planting 15 hybrid coconut trees at Cemara Beach, Sanur, on Friday, July 10, 2026.
The event was filled with enthusiasm and a strong sense of togetherness, as everyone shared the same goal of protecting the environment. The activity involved hotel employees, guests, and tourists staying at the resort during their holiday in Bali.
General Manager of Prama Sanur Beach Bali, I Gusti Nyoman Bagus Surya Candra Sasmita, S.E., M.M., said the initiative reflects the hotel’s commitment to environmental sustainability, particularly the preservation of coastal and marine ecosystems, while also forming part of the hotel’s 52nd anniversary celebrations.
“At Prama Sanur Beach Bali, we are committed not only to providing exceptional service to our guests but also to preserving the environment. The release of these baby sea turtles is one of the ways we demonstrate our commitment while celebrating our 52nd anniversary,” he said after the event.
Before the turtle release, participants took part in a beach clean-up along the shoreline in front of the hotel. Afterwards, 52 baby sea turtles, each placed inside a coconut shell, were distributed to participants, who released them together into the ocean.
The release created a festive atmosphere, with tourists—including international children—showing great enthusiasm throughout the activity. Participants lined up along the beach before gently releasing the hatchlings into the sea. As the tiny turtles made their determined journey toward the waves, they were cheered on by everyone present.
“As a beachfront hotel in Sanur, we have a responsibility to contribute to the preservation of the marine environment through various environmental initiatives, including regular turtle releases and beach clean-up activities,” he added.
Following the turtle release, the celebration continued with the planting of 15 hybrid coconut trees around the beach and hotel grounds. The initiative aims to enhance the greenery of the coastal area while restoring Sanur’s iconic image as a destination lined with coconut trees.
“We hope these trees will grow strong and healthy. Likewise, we hope the hatchlings released today will one day return to these shores to lay their eggs. This perfectly reflects our anniversary theme, Beyond the Journey, symbolizing our ongoing journey and aspirations for a better future,” he explained.
In addition to the environmental activities, Prama Sanur Beach Bali’s 52nd anniversary celebrations also include an employee family gathering, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program at Dharma Jati Orphanage in Klungkung, and a blood donation drive scheduled for the day following the turtle release.
The anniversary celebrations will culminate in a ceremonial event on July 29, 2026. According to the management, involving guests in environmental conservation activities has become an integral part of creating memorable guest experiences.
“We want our guests not only to enjoy the hotel’s facilities but also to experience the satisfaction of contributing to environmental conservation. We hope this will create a lasting emotional connection with both Sanur and Prama Sanur Beach Bali, encouraging them to return in the future,” he said.
On the business front, Prama Sanur Beach Bali has continued to record positive occupancy growth. During June and July 2026, the hotel’s average occupancy rate exceeded 85 percent, with most visitors coming from Australia, Europe, and several Southeast Asian countries.
Approximately 40 percent of the hotel’s guests are repeat visitors who have stayed at the property multiple times.
“The high percentage of returning guests is a testament to our commitment to delivering authentic Balinese hospitality, providing memorable experiences that inspire guests to come back,” he concluded. [buda]
