Balinese Artist Penawati Showcases “Blue Silence” at THE 1O1 Bali Oasis Sanur

DENPASAR, balitourismnow.com – THE 1O1 Bali Oasis Sanur proudly presents “Blue Silence,” an art exhibition by Balinese visual artist Penawati.

The exhibition, which highlights local Balinese wisdom, opened in early August and will run until November 2026.

“‘Blue Silence’ is a collection of textile artworks created from hundreds of small fabric scraps—leftovers from production—that are meticulously wrapped and arranged by hand,” said Penawati.

Through layers of blue, Penawati transforms these discarded textiles into soothing compositions inspired by water, memory, nature, and the passage of time.

The exhibition invites guests and visitors to slow down and appreciate the beauty found in stillness, while witnessing how often-overlooked materials can acquire new meaning through creativity and craftsmanship.

“Through ‘Blue Silence,’ I explore the quiet connection between memory, nature, and daily life,” Penawati added proudly.

The work is compelling, as each piece is created through a repetitive hand-crafting process that transforms textile scraps into something meaningful and contemplative.

As part of THE 1O1 Bali Oasis Sanur’s commitment to supporting local creativity and meaningful cultural experiences, this exhibition offers hotel guests and art lovers the opportunity to enjoy contemporary Balinese art within the hotel’s relaxed atmosphere.

“Guests can purchase selected artworks from the exhibition. I am offering them at price points ranging from IDR 1,000,000 to IDR 15,000,000,” concluded Penawati.
