MANGUPURA, balitourismnow.com – The next generation of Indonesian surfing talent took centre stage at the Rip Curl GromSearch Indonesia Finals 2026, held at Halfway Kuta Beach on 17–18 October.
Bringing together more than 125 young surfers across the Under-16, Under-14, and Under-12 divisions, the two-day event celebrated the skills, determination, and growing potential of Indonesia’s emerging surfing talent.
After taking the top spots in the Under-16 divisions, Aditya Somiya and Dian Septiari have earned the opportunity to represent Indonesia at the Rip Curl GromSearch International Finals in North Narrabeen, Australia, from 7–10 November 2026.
They will compete against some of the world’s best junior surfers, carrying Indonesia’s surfing spirit onto the international stage.
Rip Curl GromSearch is more than just a competition. It provides a platform for young local surfers to showcase their abilities, build confidence, and take the next step in their surfing journeys. At the same time, it strengthens the grassroots foundations of the sport and the communities that support it.
