The Woodblock Print Exhibition “BALA ASWATTHA” by Comeon Komatsu at ARMA Art Veranda

GIANYAR, balitourismnow.com – ARMA Museum & Resort is proud to present BALA ASWATTHA, a solo exhibition by Japanese artist Comeon Komatsu. The exhibition opens on March 15, 2025, at 6:00 PM at ARMA Art Veranda, Jalan Raya Pengosekan, Ubud, Gianyar, Bali.

Running until March 31, 2025, this exhibition showcases 29 woodblock prints exploring the banyan tree (Aswattha) as a symbol of strength (Bala) and its connection to humans and nature.

For Comeon Komatsu, the banyan tree is not merely a part of the landscape, but a spiritual entity embodying eternity and resilience. Its strong roots stretching into the earth represent endurance and fortitude.

While its expansive branches reaching skyward serve as a bridge between the physical world and deeper dimensions. In Balinese tradition, the banyan tree is sacred—an abode of natural forces and a guardian of life.
