DENPASARM balitourismnow.com – ARTOTEL Sanur – Bali, in collaboration with Yogyakarta-based artist Ramrama, proudly presents the Harmony art exhibition. The exhibition officially opens on April 16, 2025, at the ARTSPACE ARTOTEL Sanur – Bali.
Harmony, derived from the Greek word “Harmonia,” signifies a state of being cohesively and harmoniously interconnected. In philosophy, harmony represents the collaboration of various factors to create something sublime.
This concept serves as the central theme of this solo exhibition, which features seven paintings, most of which spotlight flora as the main subject.
These depictions are characterized by unique compositions where the forms intertwine, bind, and cluster, resembling dense shrubs.
Ramrama, a graduate of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta, began her artistic career in 2011, focusing on abstract representations of plants or flora as his primary concept.
Her expressionist style employs bold and assertive brushstrokes. She has since gained recognition for her mastery in creating unique and captivating compositions that embody the idea of harmony in every piece.
For Ramrama, plants and flora share a life cycle similar to humans. They face various challenges to grow and survive in their environment.
This prolific artist has explored artistic endeavors in major cities such as Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and Bandung, as well as internationally in Singapore.
