DENPASAR – The Aliansi Promosi Pariwisata Indonesia (APPI), also known as the Indonesia Tourism Promotion Alliance, is set to embark on a pivotal Europe Sales Mission from 23 – 28 February 2025.
This initiative aims to bolster Indonesia’s tourism sector, particularly showcasing the enchanting destinations of Bali, Labuan Bajo, and Lombok, including the stunning Gili Islands. The mission will take place in key cities—Cologne and Hamburg in Germany, as well as Copenhagen in Denmark.
APPI has successfully invited key industry buyers, including representatives from prominent travel agencies such as DER Touristik, TUI Deutschland, Tischler Reisen, Alltours, and Explorer Fernreisen from Germany, alongside StJernegaard Rejser, Top Tours, and Check Points Travel from Denmark.
This strategic gathering is expected to attract more than 65 buyers in each city, facilitating vital business meetings aimed at connecting sellers with potential buyers.
Noteworthy is the participation of 20 distinguished hotels, resorts, and villas from Indonesia that will showcase their offerings during this mission. This endeavor is further endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia, highlighting the government’s commitment to fostering tourism growth.
Additionally, Singapore Airlines, recognized as one of the world’s premier airlines, will provide exceptional support by offering a grand prize of return tickets to Bali at each city event. This partnership underscores Singapore Airlines’ role in connecting major cities in Europe, America, the Middle East, and Asia to Bali, enhancing accessibility for international travelers.
The Sales Mission is anticipated to draw dignitaries, including the Ambassador of Indonesia in Copenhagen and the Consulate of Indonesia in Cologne and Hamburg. This engagement not only serves as a platform for business discussions but also aims to promote Indonesia’s rich culture, diverse heritage, breathtaking natural beauty, and the warm hospitality that the archipelago is renowned for globally.

This initiative is a precursor to the prestigious ITB Berlin 2025, the largest tourism expo in the world, scheduled for 4 – 6 March 2025. APPI will occupy a dedicated space under the Indonesia Pavilion, supported by the Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia, to showcase the nation’s tourism potential.
Europe remains a vital market for Indonesia, particularly for destinations like Bali, Lombok, and Labuan Bajo. With a significant increase in arrivals from Europe, characterized by longer stays and diverse product offerings—including food, beverages, spa services, and cultural experiences—this mission is essential for sustaining and enhancing awareness of Indonesia’s beauty and hospitality.
